Giving thanks...
Happy Thanksgiving! We were thankful for a wonderful day filled with family and good food at Auntie Jenny's house. Abby went to work in her apron, helping Jenny in the kitchen. Mommy pretended not to notice the finger licking, double-dipping in the whipped cream.

Mall dancing revisited
Last year we posted a video of Abby getting her groove on at the mall. This year her sister joined in the action while we were waiting for a table at a restaurant. Mommy was happy for the break in the tension, following a fairly disastrous visit with Santa. Sorry everyone, I think you've seen the last of our Santa photos. But probably not the last of the Nelson family entertainers!
The Nelson girls
I think we are pretty lucky, so far at least. Except for the occasional battle over sharing, Abby and Kate do seem to really enjoy each other.
They like to watch Sesame Street together (I admit, Kate is a little addicted...it's educational, right?). Little sister gets pretty focused, and big sister takes it as an opportunity for snuggling and aerobics. Kate does normally wear pants though, I promise.
Abby also has started reading to Kate - very cute. Especially when using her special reading goggles.

More trick than treat
Abby: "When can we go trick-or-treating?" (2 minutes later) "Can we go NOW?" (3 minutes later, squinting her eyes) "See, it's already dark outside!" (1 minute later) "I CAN'T WAIT to go trick-or-treating!!" You get the picture. :) Our little Cleopatra made the most of her evening as queen...
Kate, on the other hand...was a very reluctant pumpkin. Though she eventually decided that trick-or-treating was pretty great. She didn't care much about the candy, but tried to make herself at home at each new house. Well, they opened the door, didn't they?

Kate loves Elmo
Kate decided that Elmo needed shoes. Turns out Elmo has fairly large feet, so only Mommy's shoes would do. There was sitting, hugging and kissing for Elmo, followed by some lunch. All in all, a good day for Elmo.
