We tried rice cereal a few weeks ago and she was NOT interested. That has clearly changed! She was gobbling it down and asking for more, If I wasn't fast enough with the bite she'd grab it herself, or resort to chewing on the tray. Solids are going to be fun, I think.

Sittin' Pretty
Kate is getting closer to sitting on her own. She's got the boppy as support, but she's balancing pretty well. It helps that she has a nice solid base!

Big Girl Scooter
Abbers got a new FAST scooter. No more huffing and puffing while trying to keep up with her cousin. Still need to work on our balance to glide, but that will come soon (we hope!).
Floor Fun
Kate is getting better about spending time on the floor. She can role from her back to her tummy, but not back again. Makes for some frustrating moments! But tummy time is tolerated much better than it used to be. Especially when she gets going with the arms and legs - ready for take-off.
Thanks Juchems for the beautiful quilt - Kate brings it with her to school and to Nina's house, so she can have a special place to play.

Flashback
We get a lot of comments that Kate looks like her big sister. With their coloring so different, I haven't really been able to see it. But I found this picture of Abby at about 6 months old, and the resemblance is pretty striking when you compare it to the pictures of Kate below. Our little brown-eyed cuties!
Bouncy girl
Kate tried out a bouncy toy at a friend's house the other day and LOVED it. So, we thought we'd get out the hanging bouncer we had for Abby. She was a little unsure at first, but eventually figured out how to make it spin around. Not much bouncing, but she still had fun!
P.S. Thanks Roberts/DiPetrillo gang for the cute outfit, making its first appearance on camera!

Tooth Fairy
We had our first visit from the tooth fairy last night. We weren't sure about the going rate for the first tooth, but Abbers seemed pleased with the $2 in quarters she left. She is so proud of her new gap!
Happy Birthday Daddy!
Last weekend we went to one of our favorite restaurants to celebrate Daddy's birthday.
Now this is a little girl who loves her Daddy. Her baby sister thinks he is pretty OK too.

Abby got pretty excited about his new Husky hat. Go Dawgs!

Noisy Kate
This video starts out a little slow, since Kate is still a little camera shy at first. But then she really gets going...and you get to see the real Kate! She really likes that exersaucer - banging and chewing on all the toys, and in her favorite standing-up position.
