Christmas away

Such a fun, delicious Christmas dinner at Auntie Jenny's. Abby got a new special apron, perfect for baking cookies and helping with dinner.

Christmas at home

The stockings were hung, cookies and milk waited for Santa, with some carrots for the reindeer.

Kate enjoyed her presents, and the boxes

Rapunzel Abbers

We did puzzles...

...and wrestled with the baby.

And then we got dressed up in our matching outfits (thanks Aunt Steph, Uncle Justin and Madeleine) to head over to Auntie Jenny's for Christmas dinner.

Waiting for Santa

Just hanging out on Christmas Eve, waiting for Santa. Mommy is playing photographer, and web designer...
You can almost see that little tooth on the top poking through!

Winter Wonderland

Mommy got to try out her new "early Christmas present" camera on our trip to visit Nina and see the lights.

Kate, thrilled to be bundled up in her backpack, waited patiently to head downtown.

Abby, equally thrilled, pitched a fit in the driveway. Are we having fun yet?

But then everything got better, once we saw the pretty lights. Say cheese!

Maybe too much excitement for a little girl...completely worn out.

Time for presents!

Santa Kate and Sister Elf

We had a little impromptu photo shoot with Kate in the Santa hat.
The holidays inspire such sisterly love and snuggles...

Hey, what happened to the focus on ME?!

Head bobbing

We were sitting at the dinner table and Daddy was feeding Kate. He started trying to make her smile by bobbing his head up and down. She starting imitating him! It was hilarious, and the first time she's really done anything like that. So we moved the action to the couch and Abby got into it too. Everyone got a good, much-needed laugh.

Baking Cookies

Mommy and I made candy cane cookies together again this year. I pooped out after about an hour, but that gave Mommy a chance to finish them up. We gave them to my teachers, and still have some to spare!

Christmas Tree Hunt

What a beautiful day at the Christmas Tree Farm!
No pre-cut trees for us, although Abby kind of liked this one.
She looks a little annoyed, but really Kate was happy in her backpack.
The tree cutting crew
The final result, with the proud ornament elf.

Dressing up little sister

Let the fun begin...at least Kate is a good sport about it.

On the move...

We are in trouble - Kate has started to crawl! Well, sort of. She's doing her own somewhat gimpy version of an army crawl. But she can get around, and into EVERYTHING. Watch out!

Thanksgiving Fancy

Both girls dressed in their holiday finest for a yummy Thanksgiving at Auntie Jenny's house. Kate's great with the smiles, but Abby's new thing is to pose with a semi-crazed looking expression. Lovely. :)

Sometimes a girl's just gotta dance

Even more fun when wearing fancy holiday clothes.

Snow day

Abby enjoyed her trip out in the back yard. It was a quick trip - it may have been sunny, but it was freezing cold!
Kate had to settle for being cooped up inside.
But she made the most of it.
Waiting patiently for dinner...
and learning to be tall like Daddy.

Just like Mommy

Or so Daddy says. Mommy sticks her tongue out when she's focused. Kate sticks her tongue out any chance she gets, just to wiggle it around. Very expressive with the tongue.

Rainy outside means playtime inside

Just one of the animals...
The animal tamer gets in on the fun
Go Huskies! We love you anyway.
Sleep-over in the living room. Abby's partner in crime didn't want to be caught on camera in a Dora sleeping bag (shhh...it may have been Daddy, don't tell anyone) :)

Kisses from Nina

Ah, loves from Nina. Lucky little pumpkin. Looks like we didn't get any good shots with Great-Grandma, but we sure enjoyed her visit!

Enter the chicken...

She's cute and plush, and she goes "bock, bock, bock!"

And she's a good sport, tagging along in the stroller while big sister gets all the candy. :)
