Pumpkin Patch Play

We took advantage of the lack of rain last weekend to hit the pumpkin patch. The girls had a blast.

Kate loves Elmo

Kate decided that Elmo needed shoes. Turns out Elmo has fairly large feet, so only Mommy's shoes would do. There was sitting, hugging and kissing for Elmo, followed by some lunch. All in all, a good day for Elmo.

The return of swim lessons

Now that the broken arm has healed, we are back in the pool! I am trying lessons at a new place, and things are going great. I especially like to leap off the side during "jump" time, completely dousing my teacher and anyone nearby. Mommy wishes she'd gotten a picture of that!

Final days of summer

The girls spent their final days of summer enjoying the outdoors, and each other. First they expressed their creativity with chalk.

Daddy enjoyed a nice weekend of sprint car races, golf and finally brunch this morning at Palisade. Yummm....

Sister Bonding

I think the vacation time together has given the girls a chance to bond. There are still sharing scuffles now and then, but they seem to be really enjoying each other! Yesterday they spent the whole day together...playing dress-up, reading books and riding the pony. So sweet. Abby also discovered that she can carry Kate around. Luckily little sister is somewhat tolerant!
