Catching up with family

Abby and Madeleine pose with their snugglies - the well-loved Mommy Bup and Bun-Bun.

Granddad gives Kate some serious smooches.

Final days of summer

The girls spent their final days of summer enjoying the outdoors, and each other. First they expressed their creativity with chalk.
Kate helps with Abby's masterpiece.

And creates her own, on her foot.
Notice the chalk mustache as well.

Daddy helped a little.

Then they cleaned up by running through the sprinkler and playing in the pool.

Abby's rowing game - an inventive way to use
plastic garden tools. She succeeded in getting
everything within 6 ft of the pool completely drenched.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Daddy enjoyed a nice weekend of sprint car races, golf and finally brunch this morning at Palisade. Yummm....
Strawberries? I LOVE strawberries!

Where are MY strawberries?

Daddy, I love you. Especially when
you bring me chocolate from the buffet.

Sister Bonding

I think the vacation time together has given the girls a chance to bond. There are still sharing scuffles now and then, but they seem to be really enjoying each other! Yesterday they spent the whole day together...playing dress-up, reading books and riding the pony. So sweet. Abby also discovered that she can carry Kate around. Luckily little sister is somewhat tolerant!

Wow - Whistler!

Abby was enthralled by the idea that we were in another country. She was constantly pointing to the mountains or shops and asking "is that still Canada?" She was also very excited to skip and dance through the Village, entertaining the other visitors. Always on stage, our little Abbers. :)

Up they go!

And down they come!

Kate was perfectly happy to

Abby liked the cars even better

Olympic rings! Kate wasn't so impressed.

The pool on the other hand, was a big hit.

For both girls.

Bye Bye Preschool!

Abby had her "goodbye circle" at preschool last week. What a bittersweet day - she has been at this school, with some of the same friends and teachers, since she was 4 months old. Here she is with her buddies, Gabi and Alexa.

Silly dinner

Kate managed to coat herself in pesto from the pasta dinner, and then decided the nilla wafer for dessert belonged on her head. Silly girl.
