4th of July Parade

A little delayed in posting this, but everyone had a great time at the neighborhood 4th of July parade. What's not to love about getting dressed up, going for a walk and celebrating with ice cream on a sunny day?

Family visit

Grammy, Granddad, Cindy and Gi came over for a visit. We had a very exciting time, smashing rocks, flying on Granddad's feet, balancing books and lounging around.
A special surprise inside the rock,
if we can smash it just right

Look what I found!

Kate's not so sure about this...

I think maybe Kate needs new summer shoes...a little small!

Ready for launch...

We did this when we were kids - so fun.

Weeeee!

Abby decided she needed to do 20 laps around the
house with books balanced on her head. She did it!
Such a determined child. :)

Grinning Gi, reading her travel book.

All this excitement wore Granddad out...
notice the beer clenched in the fist.

School's out!

We had a lovely couple of days for Abby's last day of school and first day of summer. The rain is back now, but we are hoping that summer will visit again soon!

Check-up for Kate - grumpy girls are chillin'

Sleepy Abby

Finally! Picnic at the park

Last Field Trip of Kindergarten

Fun day at a local environmental center and fish hatchery. The kids got to each send a salmon fry on its journey. Abby also enjoyed the scavenger hunts at the pond and in the woods.

Baby Kate Returns

Kate decided she was a baby again. Baby bed, blanket, bottle, fake binky and snuggles from big sister. Life as a baby is good. :)

Musicians in the making

We had an impromptu jam session this morning - Abby on vocals and keyboard, Kate on xylophone. :)

Visit with Baby Eloise and her doggies

It was very fun to see the baby smile and giggle at Abby. Also a little surprising that Kate wasn't the least bit jealous when Abby or Mommy held Eloise! We had to watch the doggies play outside - they were a little excited to have company. Thanks Karen for the fun, the delicious homemade pizza and the photos!
