Silly dinner

Kate managed to coat herself in pesto from the pasta dinner, and then decided the nilla wafer for dessert belonged on her head. Silly girl.

WAY too young for heels

But making the attempt anyway. We were pretty impressed she actually got them on her own feet, and managed to walk in them!

Road Trippin'

Well, if you want to call the deck a "road"... Kate's first time in the little car. Abby squeezed in once or twice as well, in between sprinkler runs.
Getting a little help

Road rage!

Fun in the sun and Caspar Babypants

We met some friends at the park on Friday - caught the tail-end of a beautiful day. Unfortunately this summer they've been a little few and far between!
Dare devil

The coveted rope swing
Serious about snacks

And Saturday we rocked out to the music of Caspar Babypants at a special concert at the Children's Museum.
First there was food

And then a post-concert nap

Playtime

The girls are playing nicely together these days...some of the time, anyway. Here are some captured moments.
Abby reading (a coloring book) to Kate
and her baby in the "ice cream house"

Will she give me my book back
if I give her a hug?

Kate's new favorite hiding place - under the desk.

Good as new!

Oh, and you may have noticed from the last post...no cast! Abby got it off after just 6 weeks - she's a fast healer. Our next challenge is to avoid re-injury for the next few weeks while she regains her strength. Fingers crossed!

Here she is displaying her trophy. Yes, they let us keep it. Fortunately they strip it of the dirtiest, smelliest parts. :)

Wedding guests

We got all dolled up to go to a special wedding - Abby's former teacher was getting married. Abby's biggest concern was the flower girl - "will there be one, and can it be me?" After a short bit of quiet time during the ceremony, lots of playtime and dancing with other classmates and new friends (the actual flower girl, age 7 1/2), Abby proclaimed it was "the best day EVER!" Just hope the bride agreed - the kids were a bit of a handful at a beautiful outdoor ceremony!
